THE CONTEXT
Given the recent increase in ferver of protests and activism on environmental issues, spearheaded by Extinction Rebellion, and with the nature of inflatables, which are traditionally by-and-large made with plastic, we’ve decided to use waste plastic for this proposal, as using new plastic seemed unforgivable in the context, even for the sake of art.
This, in combination with the fact that Open 24 Hours strives for work that transcends the boundaries of the commercial art world, and is not afraid to tackle big and complex issues within the walls of it’s gallery.
